February 23, 2006

Arlington, VA -- ABC 7/WJLA-TV announced today the launch of ABC News TO GO, a wireless information service providing local, regional and national news, weather, traffic, sports and other information over Sprint PCS VisionSM mobile and Verizon Wireless Mobile Web 2.0 phones. This announcement is following a strong customer adoption during the 4th quarter of 2005. ABC 7 News TO GO allows Sprint PCS customers to download up-to-the-minute news stories and pictures, metro traffic, weather forecasts, ABC 7 News Live SuperDoppler, as well as severe weather warnings on their phones. ABC 7 News TO GO was designed by WJLA-TV with wireless assistance from News Over Wireless, a division of Capitol Broadcasting Company's New Media Group.

"ABC 7 is proud to offer up-to-the-minute news over cell phones to Washington area residents," said Frederick J. Ryan, Jr., President and General Manager of WJLA-TV. "With as many commuters as we have in our communities, there is no better way for them to keep up with the latest news, weather and traffic than with ABC 7 News TO GO."

"We are delighted to launch this magnificent service in partnership with ABC 7, a trusted and proven news leader in our nation's capital," said Sam Matheny, General Manager of News Over Wireless. "ABC 7 News TO GO is a great example of how WJLA-TV provides their viewers with the best possible technology in an increasingly mobile world."

ABC 7 News TO GO is designed for use on most Sprint Vision-enabled devices and Verizon Wireless Mobile Web 2.0 phones providing a wide variety of news and information. New and different categories of content will be added as needed to ensure customers stay informed. ABC 7 thoroughly researched the mobile market and is deploying the downloadable news application as the best way to reach an increasingly mobile audience.

Customers can register for ABC 7 News TO GO by visiting http://mobile.wjla.com/, or by downloading the application from the Download menu on their handset. The monthly fee is for unlimited access to the service. This is in addition to the subscribers' monthly data plan.
