Editor & Publisher MediaWeek recently recognized WRAL.com, the Web site for WRAL-TV, as one of three finalists for an EPpy award for the best LocalTV/Cable-Affiliated Web Site. An international award, the EPpy honors the best media services from the newspaper industry.
"It's refreshing to get recognized by a group that generally focuses on print media," said WRAL.com General Manager John Clark. "I'm pleased that we were once again named as a finalist for the award - it's an honor to be noticed on an international level."
Awards were given in 32 different categories for excellence in online media, both for design and content.
"It really speaks to the strength and commitment of our entire staff to be in the running for an EPpy," said Clark. "We'll go after it again next year."
